Most recently, I was the Lead UX Designer at Nav.it, a fast-paced startup in fintech. Their product was a financial health mobile app that helped users improve financial literacy through daily activities and provided a holistic view of their finances. I pioneered UX best practices and processes for design and research for the team. I created a cohesive, rebranded design system to provide a single source of truth for consistent designs, accelerated prototyping and an improved way to collaborate with developers. I led discovery and user research to gain a deeper understanding of users' mindsets towards money, which resulted in five user archetypes based on an unhealthy, neutral or healthy relationship with money. This helped us base our design decisions on user empathy and gave clarity to which problems made sense to solve first.
